Dr Susanna Negrisolo is a molecular and healthcare biologist. She obtained her PhD in 2015 from the PhD Programme in Developmental Medicine and Programming Sciences, with a specialisation in Haematology-Oncology, Genetics, Rare Diseases, and Preventive Medicine, at the Department of Women’s and Children’s Health, University of Padua.
Since 2015, she has served as Laboratory Manager at the Laboratory of Immunopathology and Molecular Biology of the Kidney at the IRP “Città della Speranza” in Padua. Her research is focused on paediatric nephrology, with particular interest in the developmental biology of the kidney and urinary tract, the genetics of inherited nephropathies, and the molecular mechanisms underlying kidney transplant rejection. She coordinates projects aimed at identifying non-invasive biomarkers for the early detection of acute and chronic rejection in paediatric kidney transplant recipients.
She has expertise in molecular diagnostics, gene sequencing, and kidney biopsy histology.
Dr Negrisolo is a member of the European Reference Network for Rare Kidney Diseases (ERKNet), the European Society for Paediatric Nephrology (ESPN), and the Italian Society for Organ Transplantation (SITO). She is also a member of CERTAIN (Cooperative European Paediatric Renal Transplant Initiative) and collaborates with Orphanet on the classification and revision of rare renal diseases, particularly Congenital Malformations & Ciliopathies.
